Independent Social Research Foundation: Early Career Fellowships
Are you working on new approaches, and want to suggest new solutions, to real world social problems? Could you use funding to buy out the costs of replacing your teaching and/or other administration duties so you can focus on your research? Did you finish your PhD no longer than 10 years ago? Then think about applying for an Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF) Early Career Fellowship! The application deadline is 5 March 2021.
The Independent Social Research Foundation has opened a new call to support independent-minded researchers to explore and present original research ideas, which take new approaches, and suggest new solutions, to real world social problems.
The Early Career Fellowship is intended to enable a scholar at the early-career stage (up to 10 years after PhD) to pursue his/her research full-time, for a period of up to 12 months. The amount (to a maximum of €66,000) will be offered to buy out the costs of replacing all teaching and associated administration duties. Within that sum, reasonable support for research expenses may be considered on a matched-funding basis with the host institution.
The ISRF seeks to fund innovative research which breaks with existing explanatory frameworks so as to address afresh empirical problems with no currently adequate theory or investigative methodology. Deadline for proposals is 5 March 2021.
