The Department of History at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for an assistant professor position in Chinese History, with an ability to teach Modern East Asian history more broadly. In addition to showing promise as a researcher, the successful candidate will have demonstrated success in teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, and genders, including first-generation students. The colleague we seek will also exhibit good citizenship through service to the department, university, community, and profession. Applicants must hold a doctorate in history when the position begins in August 2020.
