After the first Call for Proposals for the book project “Drugs (Counter) Mapping” (http://drugscountermapping.wordpress.com) this summer, we received about 30 great proposals. Nevertheless, a few gaps remain, in particular some regions of the world that are barely covered by the proposals so far. The targeted regions in this second call are Oceania, East and South East Asia, South Asia, Eurasia, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, South East Europe and the Caribbean.

📅 Deadline : November 30

The full text of the targeted Call for Proposals is available on our website: http://drugscountermapping.wordpress.com/targeted-call-for-proposals.

We are targeting a range of topics such as the cultivation and processing of plants and the production of synthetic drugs; overlaps between prescription medicines and illegal drugs; postcolonialism and the movement to decolonize drug policies; performance-enhancing drugs in the workplace; the online drug trade and the darknet.

We welcome all kinds of proposals, visual sketches and texts (max. 500 words), in English, French or Spanish. Co-working processes between writers and cartographers/graphic designers are encouraged and can be organized or supported by the editors. Since the book project has some funding, we can collaborate with freelance workers or associations with a tax number – within the limits of our budget. Please read the original CfP attached or on our homepage, which is also available in French and Spanish.
