The Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology invites applications for a Guest Professorship
at the Elite Master’s degree programme ‘Standards of Decision-Making Across Cultures’, Department of Classical World and Asian Cultures, Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Middle East and East Asia. The professorship is a non-renewable one-year full-time position to be filled from October 2021 to September 2022.
We seek to appoint an international expert who will teach in the Elite Master’s degree programme ‘Standards of Decision-Making Across Cultures’ established within the framework of the Elite Network of Bavaria. Applicants should have an internationally visible research profile in or develop a new research agenda in the field of decision-making studies from a cultural studies perspective, in the disciplines of Anthropology, Area Studies (especially Asian Studies), Sociology, History, Cultural Philosophy, Intercultural Communication.
Candidates should hold a permanent position in an academic institution equivalent to a W2 Professorship (Associate/Full Professorship). In exceptional cases, applicants holding a Habilitation status and broad experience equivalent to an Associate/Full Professorship can be considered.
